The history of Sanders Manufacturing (SAMCOline) is a great story. Three brothers, J.J., O.T. and E.O. Sanders all had a vision to start a business. Each brother had a particular area of expertise and combining each of those talents helped Sanders become one of the first, in the promotional products industry. The company began in the year 1919 on 4th Avenue in downtown Nashville. The humble beginnings were in an old pillow factory.
Hand fans, pencils, pens, toys, and buttons were a few of the start- up products. Presidential elections were a great avenue for business. Sanders produced presidential campaign buttons for Presidents all the way back to Woodrow Wilson and Taft.
Sadly, in 1985 the downtown factory and warehouse burned in a fire and many of those souvenirs from by-gone years were lost in the fire.
The result from the fire was a dedicated workforce which came together to get Sanders up and producing once again. The factory was relocated to the current location on Lebanon Road in Nashville, TN. The longtime distributors of Samcoline were also instrumental in getting business moving again.
Today, Sanders is still a family owned business. Sanders Manufacturing continues to evolve with meeting customer demands. New products are introduced each year and customers continue to be supported by a talented group of customer service representatives. The personnel on the shop floor also keep a focus on meeting and exceeding customer expectations. The new and improved web-site also enables us to serve our distributors better.
